I span different photographic genres: events, portraits, street, travel, architecture.
I’m always pushing my craft. Some photographers toss the same edit on every shot. Me, I cook up a unique new look for each new occasion.
Recently I’ve fallen in love with shooting film. Often I’ll bring that vintage look and feel to my digital work. The people go gorillas.
I hunt the photographic moment instead of waiting for it to come to me. I’ve got nothing against that posed smiling pic with your bestie that you need for your Insta. Long as you don’t blink, I’ll nail that shot all day.
But it’s those shots that have that candid quality that excite me. The shots that freeze motion and energy and beauty and joy and personality, without interrupting them. The shots that manage to preserve the texture of life within a two-dimensional rectangle. That’s what I’m really after.
I’ll get you those posed ones for Insta, God knows we all need ‘em. But when I shoot events, my goal is to create not only images, but memories. And since I have a blast doing the thing I love, you’d best believe I’m bringing good vibes with me too.
